2017 Acura MDX Earns Five-Star Safety Rating From NHTSA

WASHINGTON — The refreshed 2017 Acura MDX three-row SUV earned the highest five-star safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

The 2017 MDX goes on sale at Acura dealerships this summer, followed later in the year by the 2017 Acura MDX Sport Hybrid.

The hybrid version has not been rated yet by NHTSA.

The 2017 MDX received five stars in the front and side crash tests and four stars in the rollover crash test. The rating applies to front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive versions of the MDX.

All 2017 MDX models receive the AcuraWatch suite of advanced safety and driver-assistive technology as standard equipment, including a collision-mitigation braking system with automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, forward-collision warning, lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control with low-speed follow and road-departure mitigation.
